This course offers a comprehensive understanding to applications of fluid mechanics principles. It delves into key topics such as flow in uniform and non-uniform open channels and their design aspect, flow measurement, dimension analysis and hydraulic similitude. Additionally, students will be introduced to hydraulic machinery, including pumps and turbines, and their essential roles in civil, mechanical and water resource engineering. Adequate practicals are also incorporated to enhance understanding of hydraulic machines and fluid flow in different conditions.
